Interesting forum. But why are there no recent comments?

Job Hunt

I recently got my A&P certification, but I've been working on aircraft since 1998. Does anyone know of an opening in the Coeur d'Alene area?

Quick Question

Can anyone point me towards a source where I might be able to find all of the registered or licensed aircraft MRO operators in a particular country?

Thank you so much. Any help is much appreciated!

The future of Maintenance

I was in a forum (Indeed.com) where every thing they were saying was so negative about this industry that i coud not read it any longer. I just recently got my certificates for Airframe and Powerplant and i am eager to start my career in the industry. I have landed a job for American Eagle, so im pretty excited to begin work there. I hope that the future of aircraft maintenance is not derailed by outsourcing and politics.

Schools

Gene,

Unfortunately, Arizona doesn't have much in the way of aviation maintenance schools. What they do have are fixed wing only. I'm not sure what your goals are for the long term, but from experience, I can tell you if you go Army National Guard, you will benefit from extensive rotor wing training. Contact me via email at kevinedwardsaviation@live.com for more information if you are interested. You can get your license at no cost to you at all this way.

Helicopter Maintenance/Repair training

Hi Gang,
I live in Arizona (Tucson currently) and am looking for an Aviation Maintenance school in AZ that offers or specializes in Helicopter Maintenance/Repair training. So far Im not having much luck with the search engines. nyone have a suggestion, or 2? Thanks in advance for your help!

Pima Community College

I went to Pima Community College when I was getting out of the Air Force so I could get my FAA A&P License. As far as I know, it's the only school around the Tucson area. Even though they don't spesifically offer helicopters, they will give you enough training to get your licence and a little experience. Helicopter maintenance schools are hard to find. No one really offers that training. You have to get hired somewhere usually to get that experience and it's hard to get hired without it. Catch 22. I wish you luck.
